The Calls for Proposals calendar has been reviewed

The Monitoring Committee has reviewed the Calls for Proposals calendar. The Third Call has been published in June 2018 and the Fourth Call, foreseen at the end of 2018, will be launched on the first semester of 2019.

This Fourth Call, opened to axis 1 and 5, will focus on capitalisation of projects results of those axis.

The reviewed calendar is available in the factsheet nº5 of the Sudoe Programme Manual (available in our virtual library).

Le second appel à projets du programme Interreg Sudoe est officiellement lancé

Doté d’un budget de 25 millions d’euros du Fonds européen de développement régional (FEDER), ce

nouvel appel à projets est ouvert pour deux axes:

  • l’axe 1 – Promouvoir les capacités d’innovation pour une croissance intelligente et durable (16 millions €) et,
  • l’axe 5 – Protéger l’environnement et promouvoir l’efficacité des ressources (9 millions €)

Les bénéficiaires disposent de deux mois pour travailler sur leur proposition qu’ils devront soumettre, du 13 au 31 mars inclus

This workshop is an opportunity to wrap up the gains on scientific knowledge and on policy instruments to address marine litter in the Mediterranean since the entry into force of the policies and instruments. The final objective is to assess where the key gaps are which need to be urgently addressed by science and policy to reach GES. This workshop takes place within the Blue Eco Forum.

The 3rd National Event of the Support Team for the Atlantic Action Plan, in association with the 7th Annual Marine Economics and Policy Research Symposium, will take place in the Glenlo Abbey Hotel, Galway on Thursday November 24th 2016.

Our session – running in parallel with the Symposium – will explore current funding opportunities which address Priority 2 of the Atlantic Action Plan: Protect, Secure and Enhance the marine and coastal environment.

Un proyecto europeo aspira a retirar 100 toneladas de residuos del litoral vasco

Si se cumplen los objetivos marcados, en tres años se habrán 100 menos de basuras marinas en el Golfo de Bizkaia, Guipuzkoa y Lapurdi. Es la meta que se han planteado los impulsores del proyecto Life Lema, iniciativa de recogida y gestión inteligente de basuras marinas para autoridades locales está dotada con una inversión de 1,2 millones de euros, procedente de la Unión Europea.

El proyecto Life Lema, liderado por la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa y bajo la coordinación técnica de AZTI, cuenta con la participación de Lyonnaise des Eaux, Ville de Biarritz, Syndicat mixte Kosta Garbia y Surfrider Foundation Europe. El proyecto creará “un servicio inteligente para la recogida y gestión de las basuras marinas flotantes”, explica Azti, que busca orientar a las autoridades locales en la adopción de un enfoque sostenible para mantener la costa limpia y reducir los impactos negativos generados en el medio ambiente y para la sociedad.

En las tareas de recogida de residuos participarán dos barcos pesqueros y tres buques de limpieza para la recogida en el mar, una actividad que creará al menos tres puestos de trabajo. Entra las acciones que se desarrollarán está prevista la colocación de una barrera flotante para la acumulación de basuras marinas en la desembocadura del río Deba y la instalación de dos videocámaras en la desembocadura del Adour y el Oria para monitorizar las arribadas de basura. El inicio de las tareas tendrá lugar el próximo 1 de septiembre y se desarrollarán hasta el 1 de septiembre de 2019.

El proyecto promoverá soluciones a las autoridades locales con el fin de responder a la Directiva Marco 2008/56/CE de la Estrategia Marina Europea que tiene por objeto alcanzar el buen estado medioambiental de todas las aguas marinas antes de que finalice el año 2020.
